Take note: these could be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8's final specs
We've heard a number of hardware-related Samsung Galaxy Note 8 rumors regarding leading up to the device's expected launch in New York on August 23, however, a new leak reported by VentureBeat just might have revealed the upcoming handset's final specs.
According to noted leaker Evan Blass, the Galaxy Note 8 will pack the same  Snapdragon 835 chipset that's in the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in the US, and Samsung's Exynos 8895 for the rest of the world.
Unlike those phones, which each sported 4GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note 8's memory should see a 50% increase to a total of 6GB. Onboard storage will be 64GB with the option to add more via microSD.
In terms of its screen, the Note 8 is expected to have a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display (only slightly bigger than the 6.2-inch one on the S8 Plus) with a 1440 x 2960 resolution (aspect ratio 18.5:9).
Noteworthy details
However, as we've reported before , Note 8's big selling point might very well be its dual camera setup – Blass' leak says it will boast a wide angle lens with the secondary rear camera being a telephoto lens with an aperture of f2.4 and 2x optical zoom. Both are expected to be 12MP sensors with optical stabilization.
With the much publicised battery debacle cutting the Note 7's life short not long after launch, it's perhaps no surprise that the Note 8 is expected to have a slightly smaller battery than its predecessor, with a 3,300 mAh battery (the Note 7 had a 3,500 mAh) mooted by the leak.
In terms of available colors, evidence has suggested that the Note 8 will launch in Midnight Black and Maple Gold, with Blass' source also suggesting that Deep Sea Blue and Orchid Grey will come shortly after.
We'll find out whether or not these specs are true when the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is officially unveiled later this month.

These might be the specs of the upcoming Note 8
Samsung is unveiling the Note 8 on August 23rd, and we already have an extremely clear idea of what it'll look like. Now, we might even know its specs. Today, VentureBeat’s Evan Blass published what he expects to see from the Note 8, going off of information from someone who was briefed on the device's configuration.
Here's what Blass' source says the device will have:
6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio 162.5mm x 74.6mm with 8.5mm of thickness Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor in the US and Exynos 8895 processor globally 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, as well as expandable storage Dual rear-facing cameras with 12-megapixel sensors; one is wide-angle while the other is a telephoto lens that enables 2x optical zoom....

Samsung leak shows the new Galaxy Note 8 in all of its glory

When it rains, it pours. Hours after serial leaker Evan Blass gave us our first glimpse into the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the brand-name mobile reporter is back with yet another exclusive photo showing the upcoming flagship. Earlier today, Blass took to Twitter to share a picture of the yet-to-be released handset in what he said was the ‘Midnight Black’ color option. New leaked images seemingly confirm the design of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8 (SSNLF)
Drew Angerer/Getty Images
A new leaked image courtesy of prolific leaker Evan Blass (also known as @evleaks) shows what will likely be the final design of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note smartphone.
The device, which will seemingly come to the market under the "Galaxy Note 8" moniker, is the successor to last year's ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.
The Note 7 was recalled from the market twice due to its faulty battery that made the handset dangerous for customers.
It was a huge blow for Samsung as a whole, but after a series of rumours that suggested that the Note line might disappear entirely, the Korean giant decided to keep the brand alive , and even launched a "Fan Edition" of last year's model (essentially a refurbished Note 7 with a safe battery).

Samsung Galaxy Note8 (in Midnight Black) pic.twitter.com/QZii9xFarQ
As far as design goes, as always, the Note is a blend of the previous year's Note and the latest Galaxy S phone; in this case, the Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S8.
The Note 8 retains the somewhat square-ish, boxier shape from its predecessor, but also uses a curved, edge-to-edge, presumably OLED (organic light-emitting diode) "Infinity Display" that covers almost its entire front surface, and apparently ditches the physical home button in favour of software keys as well.
This would line up precisely with what the Galaxy S8 has done, and the same can be said for the sensors up top: A front-facing camera, a proximity sensor, and an infrared iris scanner to add an extra level of security to the fingerprint reader, which has moved to the phone's back.
Speaking of the back, a second picture from Blass also shows that Samsung seemingly opted to give its high-end flagship the long-rumoured dual camera treatment, although it's unclear how the company plans to use the secondary rear shooter.

Also unclear is the presence of a headphone jack — which the Galaxy S8 has — but the Note 8 will still have a circle-shaped port in any case, as the device's signature S Pen stylus is making a comeback, too.
There is no additional information on specs, but past rumours have pointed towards a 6.3-inch, 2:1 aspect ratio, QuadHD (2960x1440) display, a top-of-the-line Snapdragon system-on-a-chip from Qualcomm (either the 835 or 836) or Samsung's own Exynos 8895 (depending on the market), up to 6GB of RAM, and a 3300mAh battery.
The Galaxy Note 8 will be officially announced on August 23 in New York .

Here’s an early look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 8
We’re just weeks away from Samsung’s next major launch event on August 23, and already we have a full visual of the device it is expected to unveil — the Galaxy Note 8. That’s courtesy of prolific smartphone leaker Evan Blass — who correctly detailed Samsung’s Galaxy S8 before it was announced earlier this year — and a couple of photos of the… Read More

This is, probably, the Galaxy Note 8
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8 has just been bared in the mother of all leaks: A set of press images showing the device in several colors, from all sides.
The images come from reliable leaker Evan Blass , who shared them on Twitter on Tuesday.
SEE ALSO: Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 will have one big feature the iPhone 8 won't
One image shows the phone, which is slated for an Aug. 23 launch, in black color and from the front.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaks in midnight black ahead of August 23 launch
Update: Twitter based leaker Evan Blass has shared an extra image of the Galaxy Note 8 , which you can see below.
It seems to suggest the Galaxy Note 8 will launch in Midnight Black as well as Maple Gold, which was one of the shades for the Galaxy S8 .
Original story: The big Samsung Galaxy Note 8 must be awfully difficult to hide because photos of the new Android phone keep leaking on the internet – almost every day.
Today's Note 8 leak shows Samsung's S Pen-equipped smartphone in black, aka midnight black, thanks to a full front render leaked by Evan Blass .
It confirms the return of Samsung's bezel-less 'Infinity Display' from the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus , and shows the S Pen in its usual bottom right holster.
In addition to the clearly visible black color, we're also expecting Note 8 colors of Orchid Grey and Deep Blue, according to previous leaks.
Note 8 specs can still surprise (Photo Credit: Evan Blass)
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 won't just be a Galaxy S8 Plus with a slightly bigger screen. In addition to the rumored stunning 6.4-inch display, it's said to have a dual-lens camera on back with 3x optical zoom , one better than iPhone 7 Plus.
Other renders have shown that the Note 8 fingerprint sensor won't be directly adjacent to the camera, a problem we noted in our S8 and S8 Plus reviews when trying to unlock the phones. This is the next best thing to Samsung figuring out how to make the fingerprint sensor work underneath the glass screen.
We won't be able to test the the Galaxy Note 8 until August 23 at Samsung's Unpacked launch event, where the company promises to 'Do big things.' But we're sure the nearly daily leaks will continue until that time.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 image leaks ahead of August launch event
Samsung is slated to unveil the next iteration in its Galaxy Note line on August 23rd, but a crisp image of the handset was just leaked to VentureBeat’s Evan Blass and posted to Twitter. The Galaxy Note 8, which Samsung hinted at in its New York City launch event invite with the phrase “do bigger things,” looks in the product image like a monstrous smartphone, thanks largely to the edge-to-edge Infinity Display technology of the Galaxy S8. Stretched to fit the Note’s larger frame, the screen looks even bigger and the bezels almost nonexistent.
We don’t know too much else about the Note 8, other than that it will come with a dual-camera system and a hopefully non-exploding battery. Given last year’s horrendous Note 7 recall , and the...

1 d ago TechRadarThe best iPhone 6 deals in October 2017
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

It may be three years old (doesn't time fly!) and attention is now much more focused on the new iPhone X , but the iPhone 6 is an excellent alternative to costly iPhone 8 deals . So if your contract is up, you're ready to upgrade, want an Apple handset but also want to keep your spending down, then the iPhone 6 is well worth a look.
And you need look no further, because we've done all the research for you! We've rounded up the UK's best contract deals for Apple's iPhone 6. The good news is that the price of the iPhone 6 has fallen through the floor. Now with plenty of deals under £20 a month, there's never been a better time to pick up this still-fantastic phone.
So there's no need to wait until Black Friday 2017 to bag a bargain iPhone. With the deals you can grab in our comparison chart below, you can fill your boots with unlimited texts and minutes, as well as a healthy slug of data. Buy buy BUY!

The UK's best iPhone 6 deals
It may be almost three years old, but the iPhone 6 has aged admirably. And the mature age also means the prices are fantastic. We've sorted through the finest iPhone 6 deals from EE, O2, Vodafone and Three to narrow down the best five plans available today.
iPhone 6 32GB | £15 upfront (with 10OFF code) | Unlimited calls and texts | 1GB data | £17.99pm
The bottom fell out of the iPhone 6 market over the summer. EE has come up trumps with an exceptional deal for Apple's 2014 flagship phone. It costs a penny less than £15 upfront thanks to our 10OFF code, and then a crazy-low £17.99 a month after that. No other major network can match this right now. Total cost over 24 months is £456.76
Get this iPhone 6 deal: over at Mobiles.co.uk
iPhone 6 32GB | FREE upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 3GB data | £27pm
We are lapping up this deal from Mobiles.co.uk on O2. With nothing to pay upfront and less than £27 per month for 3GB data, we were already liking it. But then we noticed that the retailer will also give you an automatic £70 cashback. That brings the overall price screaming down under the £600-mark. Total cost over 24 month is £578 (after cashback)
Get this deal: from Mobiles.co.uk
iPhone 6 32GB | FREE upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 5GB data | £27.99pm
Now that O2's Double Data discount has ended, this EE deal is the one to go for if you need a dab more data. Unless you stream and download away from wi-fi A LOT, 5GB should be plenty. This is a really good deal, especially when you consider that the handset price is absolutely FREE! Total cost over 24 month is £671.76
Get this deal: from Mobiles.co.uk
iPhone 6 32GB | FREE upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 26GB data | £36pm
This deal on the iPhone 6 is very eye-catching, with monthly payments of £36pm and a free phone. Not bad at all for such a high data allowance with the same kind of price Vodafone used to charge for 16GB. Nobody else really comes close if you do a lot of streaming and downloading away from Wi-Fi. Total cost over 24 months is £864
Get this deal: from Carphone Warehouse
iPhone 6 32GB | £106.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 30GB data | £39pm
It's back! Three seemed to give up on the golden oldie iPhone 6 for a while there. But Buymobiles has brought the network back in contention, we're delighted to welcome back its 30GB tariffs. Bear in mind however, that you can actually get 30GB iPhone 7 deals a lot cheaper than this. Total cost over 24 month is £1042.99
Get this deal: from Buymobiles
Unlike more recent entries in the iPhone ouevre, Apple made a genuine leap forward from the iPhone 5S with its successor. The iPhone 6 remains one of the best phones Apple has ever created or, indeed, ever created by any manufacturer. At the time of release, its faster CPU, better graphics and slicker interface really made it seem worth the high price - so now it's a bonafide bargain!

Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

There are some fantastic PS4 deals this week, with Destiny 2 and FIFA 18 bundles proving to be cheaper than buying a PS4 on its own! These brand new PS4 bundles are selling fast though, so don't dawdle if you see a PS4 price you like. The new gold and silver PS4 Slims are out now too, so we've rounded up the best deals for the new consoles.
On this page we've listed the best cheap PS4 deals in the UK ( here's our US page and here's our Australian page ) so you can find all of the cheapest PS4 prices. Below you'll find all of the absolute cheapest standalone PS4 deals from UK retailers, followed by our pick of what we think are the bundle deals that offer the best value. We're seeing prices that rival the Black Friday deals right now to be honest.
The PS4 is currently available in a number of different forms. Directly below, you'll find the best deals for the new PS4 Slim which has come in to replace the original model with a slimmer design. You can still get the original PS4 and you'll find prices for those below the PS4 Slim deals. And at the bottom you'll see deals for the new PS4 Pro - the new fancy 4K model. If you're still torn, maybe you'd prefer one of our Xbox One deals ?

The PS4 Slim is... slimmer, quieter and smaller
The new PS4 Slim launched in September 2016 for around £259 (500GB) or £310 (1TB). This new model has effectively replaced the original PS4 now. The console itself is smaller, lighter and more power efficient and the 500GB model is priced cheaper than the older PS4 nowadays, so you're not paying more for the refined tech. We'd seriously advise you scroll down to the bundles further down this page as many of them are cheaper than buying the console on its own! The PS4 Slim is available in black or white.
The best PS4 deals
The original PS4 with optical out audio options
These are the regular, older, full-sized PS4 deals. Expect to see a few tasty bargains as retailers clear space for the new PS4 Slim. Prices have been dropping naturally in recent months, so if you're not bothered about 4K visuals (get a PS4 Pro if you are) and are yet to pick up a PS4, you could find a fantastically cheap deal here. We're generally seeing this model get phased out with better deals to be found on the PS4 Slim above though.
The best PS4 bundle deals this week
You'll often find that the most attractive way to get a cheap PS4 is with a bundle with extra hardware or extra games. These are the best PS4 bundle deals currently available in the UK – we update these deals on a regular basis.
The best PS4 deal of the week
PS4 Slim | Destiny 2 | £229.85 @ ShopTo's eBay
This offer has been around for a couple of weeks and was at most of the big name retailers, but only ShopTo's eBay store still has it in stock at this excellent price. This Destiny 2 PS4 bundle works out much cheaper than buying Destiny 2 and a PS4 separately. Reviews of Destiny 2 are looking great so far, so chances are you won't need another game for a month or two. Fingers crossed there's lots of new loot for our freshly-robbed Guardians!
View this PS4 deal: PS4 Slim with Destiny 2 £229.85 @ ShopTo's eBay
PS4 Slim | FIFA 18 | £229.99 @ Very
Waiting for the new season to grab a PS4 Slim? You might as well opt for this FIFA 18 bundle then as it comes with FIFA 18, complete with Ronaldo's face on the cover. Sadly this doesn't mean you get a miniature cast of that beautiful airport statue. Go on, Google it, it'll make your day.
View this PS4 deal: PS4 Slim with FIFA 18 £229.99 @ Very
1TB PS4 Slim | FIFA 18 | £259.99 @ Multiple retailers
Even if you don't like FIFA, this is the best 1TB PS4 deal going. This PS4 bundle costs less than most stores usually charge for a 1TB PS4 on its own and you're getting a free copy of FIFA 18. This is fantastic value as the extra storage space comes in handy soon enough once you have a few games installed.

Silver PS4 Slim | extra controller | £249.85 @ ShopTo's eBay
This brand new bundle is excellent value at £249.85 for the new silver PS4 Slim with two silver DualShock 4 controllers. To be put the value into context here, lots of other retailers are charging upwards of £275.

Gran Turismo Sport Limited Edition 1TB PS4 Slim | £259.99 @ Game
Now £40 cheaper than last week! This new limited edition 1TB PS4 console is set to release October 18th alongside the new GT Sport game. Naturally, you're getting a copy for the game in this bundle too, along with 250k in in-game credits and a few bits of DLC. This is strictly for hardcore GT fans though really as you're paying quite a bit extra for the Gran Turismo livery paint-job on the console and DualShock 4.
View this PS4 deal: GT Sport Limited Edition 1TB PS4 bundle £259.99 @ Game
The best PS4 Pro deals:
The PS4 that offers 4K gaming and Netflix
Essentially, the PS4 Pro is a 4K upgrade of the current PS4, rather than a 'next-gen' console. The keywords to take in from the PS4 Pro are 4K and HDR. The new machine allows game developers to include 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range options in their games, so expect the like of Uncharted 4, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn and more to look even better on a HDR-enabled 4K TV. You'll also be able to stream 4K content from Netflix and Amazon. Want to get the right TV? Then check out our cheap 4K TV deals page.
PS4 Pro | FIFA 18 | £339.99 | Smyths Toys
Given that you can't get a new PS4 Pro for less than £339 this week, getting a copy of the FIFA 18 bundled in for an extra 99p is the way to go for footy fans looking to get the best PlayStation experience out there.
View this PS4 Pro deal: PS4 Pro, FIFA 18 £339.99 @ Smyths Toys
White PS4 Pro | Destiny 2 | £349.99 @ Game
The PS4 Pro is finally getting a white version to launch alongside side Destiny 2. So far, we've only seen it in this bundle with Bungie's upcoming sequel. This pre-order was originally £400, but Game has just knocked off a huge £50! This is probably the best deal we'll see ahead of the September 6th release.
View this PS4 Pro deal: White PS4 Pro and Destiny £349.99 @ Game
PS4 Pro | £339.99 @ Game
We've certainly seen better PS4 Pro deals, but offers are thin on the ground this week. There don't seem to be loads of decent bundles and most stores are sticking to the £350 RRP. Save £11 at AO.com though if you need the console sooner rather than later. If you can wait though, better deals are certainly coming soon, especially as we get closer to Black Friday . We're hoping for big discounts as Sony fights off the Xbox One X deals .
View this PS4 Pro deal: PS4 Pro £339.99 @ Game
Cheap PlayStation Plus deals
If you're buying a PS4, you'll probably need a cheap PlayStation Plus deal too. PlayStation Plus (aka PS Plus or PS+) allows you to play PS4 games online, along with access to the Instant Game Collection, a bunch of free games for PS4, PS3 and Vita each month. The default price for a year is £50. We can do better than that though, so check out our selection of the best PlayStation Plus deals .
Need an extra cheap PS4 controller? Don't forget to check our Best DualShock 4 deals . Or maybe a cheap PlayStation VR deal?

Asus C100PA Chromebook:If you'd like your Chromebook to also function as a tablet via the touchscreen then this 10-inch model is a very tidy bargain. HP 250 G5: The HP 250 series of laptops are excellent for day-to-day activities and multitasking. The i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 1TB hard drive are more than most users will ever need for work, web browsing and catching up on Netflix. A great laptop deal at £429.98 @ ebuyer .
Acer Aspire: This Acer laptop is brand new and comes with 8GB of RAM, a speedy 256GB SSD (Solid State Drive) and a red paint job for a reasonable asking price. You can grab it now from Argos for £429.99 .
HP 14-inch Intel Celeron 4GB 1TB laptop: Here's a value-packed laptop deal from Argos available in red, white or black. Not only is the price cut for this decent machine with an Intel Celeron processor, 4GB RAM and 1TB hard drive, but you also get a subscription to McAfee Internet Security and a carry case (see image above). All for just £279.99.
Lenovo IdeaPad 320s: A slightly smaller 14-inch laptop than the deal above, but if you're after a faster hard drive, then you could be tempted by the 128GB SSD here. If capacity over speed is your thing, then the 1TB option will cost you less than this laptop deal at £349 at Currys.
HP 14 Inch Intel i3 8GB 2TB laptop: This cheap laptop comes with a carry case and McAfee security package. You're also getting some serious spec, namely 8GB of RAM and a whopping 2TB hard drive. This excellent laptop deal is available in white, red or black for just £399.99 @ Argos.
Lenovo Ideapad 710s: Lenovo has knocked £250 off the powerful i7 Lenovo Ideapad 710s, making it way cheaper than the nearest rivals at AO, Amazon and John Lewis. In additional to that i7 processor, you're getting a 256GB SSD and 8GB of LPDDR3 memory. When clicking through, click 'View Models' and it's the i7 option on the right you're after for just £699.99 @ Lenovo . Note: use voucher code TEST47 to get this price.

There have been some generous offers lately for this popular Lenovo laptop series. Any choice between the 4GB and 12GB RAM options should run multiple applications at once. Hard drive sizes vary from 256GB SSD to 1TB in regular form. Some options also include dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 940MX graphics.
At around £200, the HP Stream 14 is decent value if you're after something to cover the basics like web browsing or document editing. It's competitively priced again the cheaper Chromebooks out there despite the 14-inch screen and Windows 10 operating system.
There's some hefty grunt under the shell of this HP 250 G4 and there are some great prices this week. The Intel Pentium processor and 4GB/8GB of RAM mean this laptop will whip through pretty much any day-to-day activity you can throw at it without the juddering performance of cheaper laptops. Hell, it'll even have a decent crack at playing a few of the less demanding games out there.
A sturdy choice for a study laptop for school/college/uni. The HP Pavilion 15 has more power that the average pupil needs while keeping the costs sensible. If you're not needing extra power of an expensive laptop for video/photo editing, this is more than enough for web browsing, playing some tunes on Spotify and editing coursework.
From afar, this laptop might be mistaken for a MacBook Pro which tells you a lot about its level of quality. Don't expect a full metal chassis at this price, but this is probably one of the best looking plastic bodies in its category. There are plenty of ports (old and new), 4GB of RAM and a massive 1TB hard drive. The cheapest models have a respectable i3 processor, but you can get the more powerful i5 versions for not much more if you need that extra kick. Asus saw it fit to include a DVD writer as well as a 15.6-inch full HD screen. Despite this large display and the presence of a numeric keypad, it's just a tad thicker and heavier than an Ultrabook.
Why not upgrade your storage with a cheap hard drive or SSD? See the best hard drive and SSD deals.
This is the newer version of the Asus Transformer Mini series. This upgrade includes a fingerprint sensor and double the RAM at 4GB for speedier performance. For your money, this is one of the most impressive two-in-one transformer models out there.
This is one of the larger Chromebook experience out there for someone looking for a full-sized laptop with an excellent screen at a super low cost. The 4GB of RAM running the Chrome OS is super fast and will allow you to really pile up tabs and apps without slowing down. The battery will easily last the best part of a day for most users too.
The best deals on our favourite laptops
We've reviewed loads of laptops over the years: we've seen the good ones, the great ones and the ones to avoid. Sometimes the best laptops pop up online at some truly deal-tastic prices. So in this section, we list the very best laptops out there and the best deals on each one.
The Dell XPS 13 is, bar none, the best laptop you can buy today. It features a revolutionary design that's astonishingly thin and light. Fitting a 13.3-inch screen into such a small frame means Dell has created a nearly borderless Infinity display. It's a powerful and long lasting machine even by today's Ultrabook standards. The XPS 13 comes outfitted with Intel's latest Skylake processors plus lighting, quick storage and memory, all while coming in at a very affordable starting price. For these reasons, it easily takes the top slot as the best Ultrabook , the best Windows laptop and the best overall laptop.
Looking for a quality gaming laptop but want to keep things under that unappealing £1000 mark? Then Dell has you covered with the Inspiron 15 Gaming range.
The Asus Chromebook Flip isn't perfect, but it's an impressive little piece of kit. Plus, it's so affordable that you might want to pick one up just to have a Chromebook on hand – even if you already own a MacBook or Windows laptop. Aside from the budget price tag, the Flip is one of the best-built Chromebooks to blaze the trail onward for more convertibles. Touchscreen functionality feels more logical, with a screen that actually rotates. The Flip meets all the core tenants of an ideal Chrome OS device.
This 10-inch hybrid comes packing a surprising amount of goods considering its small size. It's outfitted with an HD screen and more than enough power to get you through a simple day of web browsing and even image editing. When you're ready kick back with some media streaming, you can pop off the 10-inch tablet.
The Asus Strix GL502 is undoubtedly one of the best gaming laptops around for gaming in 1080p. It'll run with the settings cranked with games like Overwatch not dipping below 60fps. The battery life isn't the best, but the display, performance and built-in sound system more than make up for it.
Lenovo has crafted a brilliant, forward-thinking device that could very well create a subcategory in computing all of its own. The modest specs hold it back from taking on the big boys in terms of raw power, but the innovative digital touchpad keyboard and drawing surface look like trendsetters to us. The Android version is currently about £100 cheaper than the Windows one.
Can a tablet really replace your laptop or home PC? That's still up for debate, but the best tablet trying to make that happen is the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - and it does a fine job with the full blown version of Windows 10, an integrated kickstand and optional keyboard attachment. Great for for creative professionals, students and everyday folks alike - it's only the premium price that push it down the list, but if you're willing to pay for it, you're getting a lot of power. A LOT.

And now certainly seems like a good time to buy Applee's 2015 flagship phone. The best prices out there at the moment are only £22.99 a month. That's a truly fantastic price for such a high-quality handset. If you want more than the minimum of data, then check out our comparison chart below, or head straight down to our pick of the best tariffs on the web. You don't have to wait until Black Friday 2017 to grab a bargain iPhone 6S.

Top 5 iPhone 6S deals this month:
We've gone all Top of the Pops to show you our favourite five iPhone 6S deals on the market right now - we'll give you a clue...they're much cheaper than the iPhone X will be. And lower down the page you'll be able to read about all of the best iPhone 6S deals on a network-by-network basis, including EE, O2, Vodafone and Three.
iPhone 6S 32GB | £75 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 2GB data | £22.99pm
One of the cheapest tariffs we've seen EE put out for the iPhone 6S in recent times. £22.99 is an alarmingly good monthly bill for a phone that remains one of our all time faves. This offer is not to be sniffed at - it's the cheapest iPhone 6S deal without using more than 2GB a month. Total cost over 24 months is £626.76
View this deal: at Affordable Mobiles
iPhone 6S 32GB | £30 upfront (with 10OFF code) | Unlimited calls and texts | 3GB data | £27pm
The best iPhone 6S deal on O2 now is this 3GB one, and it just got another tenner cheaper. It's a measly amount upfront and the monthly £27 tariff is more than decent, making it the top offer for this model and data combo that we could find on O2, if that's your poison. The cost over 24 months is £678
Get this deal: at Mobiles.co.uk
iPhone 6S 32GB | £66.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 26GB data | £36pm
The bad news is that the best 16GB Vodafone deals have now disappeared, but the good news is that a raft of new 26GB plans have replaced them and not at a far greater price. This is a very good way to get more data than most people are ever going to need. But do check out the 30GB tariff from Three first... Total cost over 24 months is £930.99
Get this deal: at Mobile Phones Direct
iPhone 6S 32GB | £41.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 30GB data | £29pm
Of course Three has always been famous for being the network that still offers an unlimited data option, but we're going for the 30GB option here - it's a lot cheaper and we're betting that most people only want unlimited data for the safety of it. This deal is fantastic too, having just gone down by another £30+. Total cost over 24 months is £737.99
View this deal: at Affordable Mobiles
iPhone 6S 128GB | £128 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 3GB data | £27.99 per month
This must be a direct result of the new iPhone line-up. Thanks to the presence of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, the 128GB 6S has dipped under the £800-mark for the first time. And you get 3GB of data a month, so won't even have to settle for negligible data. We like. Total cost over 24 months is £799.76
View this deal: Mobile Phones Direct
It may be very similar to its predecessor, but there's no denying that the iPhone 6s makes a fantastic alternative to the much more pricey iPhone 7 .  3D Touch is a genuine innovation, and the phone works fluidly at nearly every task. Simply splendid.

Best iPhone 6S deal on O2
iPhone 6S 32GB | £30 upfront (with 10OFF code) | Unlimited calls and texts | 3GB data | £27pm
The best iPhone 6S deal on O2 now is this 3GB one, and it just got another tenner cheaper. It's a measly amount upfront and the monthly £27 tariff is more than decent, making it the top offer for this model and data combo that we could find on O2, if that's your poison. The cost over 24 months is £678
Get this deal: at Mobiles.co.uk
iPhone 6S 32GB | £89.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 15GB data | £35pm
O2 is seriously off the pace on the iPhone 6S when the data begins growing above the 5GB mark. This new 15GB tariff is OK if you're dead set on O2 and its Priority rewards, but Vodafone and Three have cheaper prices. The cost over 24 months is £929.99
Get this deal: at Carphone Warehouse
Best iPhone 6S deals on Vodafone
iPhone 6S 32GB | £129.99 | 4GB data | Unlimited minutes and texts | £27pm
Vodafone's recent adventure in to great value 4GB tariffs is a welcome addition to the market. And this iPhone 6S deal is no exception, egven if it has just risen above the £750-mark. But there's still no point in going for less data with Voda. Total cost over 24 months is £777.99
Get this deal: at Carphone Warehouse
iPhone 6S 32GB | £66.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 26GB data | £36pm
The bad news is that the best 16GB Vodafone deals have now disappeared, but the good news is that a raft of new 26GB plans have replaced them and not at a far greater price. Get this deal: at Mobile Phones Direct
Best iPhone 6S deals on Three
iPhone 6S 32GB | £56.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 2GB data | £25pm
The upfront cost isn't too bad and the monthly cost is digestible for 2GB data - but, as ever, check out the next deal for a few pounds extra. Especially as this tariff just went up by more than £20 on the upfront price. Total cost over 24 months is £656.99
View this deal: at Affordable Mobiles
iPhone 6S 32GB | £42.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 8GB data | £27pm
Three has always been good on the bigger data deals rather than the lower byte ones and this one isn't bad. The upfront cost is fairly standard as you can see from the rest of the deals on this page, and the monthly cost is the best we could find without paying loads upfront - and there's a great amount of data here. Total cost over 24 months is £690.99
View this deal: at Affordable Mobiles
iPhone 6S 32GB | £41.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 30GB data | £29pm
Of course Three has always been famous for being the network that still offers an unlimited data option, but we're going for the 30GB option here - it's a lot cheaper and we're betting that most people only want unlimited data for the safety of it. At the top of our guide you'll see what we've chosen as this month's best value iPhone 7 deals in the UK (if you're down under, head over to our best Australian iPhone 7 deals ). These are chosen purely on the basis of value - unlike some other sites we don't manipulate the order of these deals for commercial gain! Then we pick out the best deals on the four major networks, those being EE, O2, Three and Vodafone.
iPhone 7 32GB | £180 upfront (with 10FF code) | 2GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £22.99pm
£22.99 is still the minimum amount you'll be able to spend to get your hands on the latest iPhone . The plan comes with unlimited calls and texts to add to the 2GB of data. Total cost over 24 months is £731.76
View this deal: at Mobiles.co.uk
iPhone 7 32GB | £100 upfront (with 10OFF code) | Unlimited calls and texts | 3GB data | £27 per month
The current discount on this iPhone 7 deal makes it one of the best purchases around on the older Apple flagship. With a reasonable upfront cost of £100 thanks to our exclusive code, the monthly payments are then just £27. And being O2, you also get the network's revered Priority rewards, too. Total cost over 24 months is £748

iPhone 7 32GB | FREE upfront | 15GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £37.99pm
Don't fancy spending upwards of £100 on your new phone? Then this tariff from Affordable Mobiles is a good'n. You get a completely FREE handset, and then you have to pay £37.99 per month - that's not terrible for the iPhone 7 and a generous 15GB of data, which is an increase of 5GB from last month. Total cost over 24 months is £911.76
View this deal: at Affordable Mobiles
iPhone 7 32GB | £158.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 26GB data | £36pm
Vodafone has just started experimenting with some very sexy new data allowances, and this mighty 26GB tariff replaces its best 16GB deals from yore. It may look expensive, but that's a heck of a lot of data, so still worth a look if you're a Vodafone devotee. Let streaming and downloading commence! Total cost over 24 months is £1022.99
View this deal: at Mobile Phones Direct
iPhone 7 32GB | £94.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 30GB data | £33 per month
This is our favourite big data deal on the iPhone 7. The price of the handset is more expensive than last month, but now it's down to just £33 per month for 30GB data and unlimited everything else! Extremely strong if you need a lot of data or if you don't "need" the data but would like a safety net. And bear in mind that going unlimited is way more expensive. Total cost over 24 months is £886.99

Best iPhone 7 deals on EE this month
iPhone 7 32GB | £180 upfront (with 10FF code) | 2GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £22.99pm
£22.99 is still the minimum amount you'll be able to spend to get your hands on the latest iPhone . iPhone 7 32GB | FREE upfront | 5GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £32.99pm
Ah man! There was a fantastic 5GB deal on EE that cost less than this over the two year term. But it just went up by a fiver a month! So we've picked out this tariff instead, which is more expensive than that pearler overall, but has the bonus of being absolutely free for the handset. Total cost over 24 months is £791.76

iPhone 7 32GB | FREE upfront | 15GB data | Unlimited mins and texts | £37.99pm
Don't fancy spending upwards of £100 on your new phone? Then this tariff from Affordable Mobiles is a good'n. You get a completely FREE handset, and then you have to pay £37.99 per month - that's not terrible for the iPhone 7 and a generous 15GB of data, which is an increase of 5GB from last month. iPhone 7 128GB | £95 upfront | 2GB data | Unlimited calls and texts | £32.99 per month
If you want the extra storage space that the 128GB iPhone 7 affords, you have to be prepared to spend. We understand that the large handset price will put some people off, but this is not a bad price on such a desirable handset. Total cost over 24 months is £886.76

Best iPhone 7 deals on O2 this month
iPhone 7 32GB | £100 upfront (with 10OFF code) | Unlimited calls and texts | 3GB data | £27 per month

iPhone 7 128GB | £140 handset (with 10OFF code) | Unlimited calls and texts | 3GB data | £29 per month
If 32GB memory just simply isn't going to cut it, then this is probably the best O2 deal to go for. For a mere £29 a month you can get hold of the more capacious 128GB model. It's a bit of a wedge to spend up front - although £20 less than in recent weeks - but you get a respectable 3GB of data and much more room for music and videos. Total cost over 24 months is £836

Best iPhone 7 deals on Three this month
iPhone 7 32GB | FREE upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 8GB data | £32pm
We frequently praise Three for turning out excellent value prices on big data plans, but this recently-improved 8GB tariff is very handy if you're swayed by the numerical network - especially now that it's just ditched the upfront cost, too! Total cost over 24 months is £768
View this deal: at Affordable Mobiles
iPhone 7 32GB | £94.99 upfront | Unlimited calls and texts | 30GB data | £33 per month
This is our favourite big data deal on the iPhone 7. The price of the handset is more expensive than last month, but now it's down to just £33 per month for 30GB data and unlimited everything else! iPhone 7 32GB | FREE upfront | Unlimited data, calls and texts | £48 per month
If you want to get an iPhone 7 with unlimited everything then this is the best deal out there at the moment thanks to the upfront cost being removed. As you'd expect, the monthly fee is relatively high at £48 but that's actually very good value when you look at how much the other networks are charging for much less data. That all being said, with 30GB available for just £33 per month, the above deal is the one we'd go for! Total cost over 24 months is £1152

51 d ago TechRadarSamsung Galaxy Note 8 price: how much does it cost?
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

Update: New Note 8 price details have been added, so you can get the phone with extras like a Gear 360 camera, or memory card and fast wireless charger combo.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 's price is big, just like it's epic 6.3-inch display size. But, thankfully, there are ways to get more for what you pay for in the US and UK.
Brace yourself for the costly total. But that's expected given the fact that the Note 8 has souped-up specs, a dual lens camera, a bigger display and an S Pen.
Here's how much it costs so you don't overpay for the Note 8.
Note 8 price in the US
The Galaxy Note 8 price in the US unlocked is $929 through the official Samsung store, and it then varies by carrier. You won't find a cheap Galaxy Note 8, but you can get a more valuable bundle.
We recommend this version, as it's unlocked, devoid of unwanted carrier apps, and is bundled with various extras. It's also cheaper than through some carriers. While T-Mobile's starting price is $930, Verizon's is $960.
You can buy the Note 8 with a Samsung Gear 360 camera or a microSD card and fast wireless charger bundle. These pre-order promotions last just 15 days after the phone release date on September 15. This will ease the high price a little bit.
It's not going to save you money, but it does increase the value and having two bundle options instead of one is ideal in case you already have a 360 camera.
Did you own the recalled Galaxy Note 7 and now have a replacement device? If you wish upgrade, Samsung is offering up to $425 in savings on the Note 8.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 UK price is £869 and harder to swallow when you realize that's $1,114 in the US. At least you can get a dual-SIM Note 8 in the UK through the Samsung store, which is great for international travel.
Also sweetening this particular Note 8 price in the UK is the fact that it comes bundled with a DeX station for seamless on-the-go productivity.
Note 8's 6GB of RAM and Samsung DeX's workstation features turn your phone and any HDMI monitor into a plug-and-play PC experience. It makes Samsung's high price a little more reasonable.

23 d ago TechRadar :: The best Samsung Galaxy Note 8 deals in the US
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

The best Samsung Galaxy Note 8 deals have changed after launch day, but we'll still recommend you buy the phone straight from Samsung. Here's the best price.
There are Samsung Galaxy Note 8 deals already, believe it or not, but you're still going to have to pay a lot of money to buy this phone in the US.
Both Samsung and American carriers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint are charging a bundle for the 6.3-inch 'Infinity Display' phone, and now the pre-order extra are all gone.
What eases the pain is the fact that Samsung is charging $929 instead of $959, which some carriers are asking for when buying the phone.
It also offers $50 discounts on accessories, like the Dex Workstation and  the Gear S3 Frontier smartwatch with any Note 8 purchase. Best of all, there are also several trade-in deals offering as much as $300.
See all of the current Samsung Galaxy Note 8 deals right here
Previous deals, which, sadly, have expired.
Quick link: Here's the best Note 8 pre-order deal (free Gear 360)
You won't find a real Samsung Galaxy Note 8 price drop for a few months, outside of maybe Black Friday and Cyber Monday , and those are have terms and conditions like Buy One Get One Free, phone trade-ins or new active lines.
What are the current best Note 8 prices and bundles? We've listed the ones we found for launch day and will keep it updated as we approach September 15 release date.
Note 8 with a free Gear 360 camera
Our favorite Samsung Galaxy Note 8 deal is the one that comes with the free Samsung Gear 360 camera. It takes 360-degree videos and photos and syncs with your brand new smartphone via Bluetooth.
This is a limited promotional offer if you order the phone today and it lasts until 30 days after Note 8 pre-orders begin. So that's August 24 to September 24.
How much do you save? $229, as that's the full retail price of the Samsung Gear 360 camera. Not too shabby for a phone that just came out and a 360 camera that's only six months old.
View this deal from Samsung Note 8 with a free 128GB microSD card, wireless charger
Maybe you won't ever capture 360 video, or maybe you already have a Gear 360 camera. That's okay, there's another Note 8 deal dubbed "the Galaxy Foundation kit."
It comes with a Samsung 128GB EVO+ memory card and Fast Wireless Charging Convertible, according to Samsung, and it retails for $189.98. Not as valuable, but essential if you use up a lot of internal storage space and battery life.
Like the Note 8 deal with the Gear 360, this promotional offer spans from August 24 to September 24.
Both bundles come with two months of Samsung Premium care. The Note 8 ships on September 15 and these deals expire nine days after that.

After months of leaks and a year of explosion jokes, Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 is finally here and it's packing some serious hardware with dual cameras and new S Pen features.
It might even be Samsung' s best phone yet, but it's got a lot of competition. The iPhone 8 is around the corner, Google's Pixel 2 is expected after that, and the Essential Phone just launched with a screen that's to die for.
Can Samsung fend off attacks from three sides?

20 d ago TechRadar :: The best Australian Samsung Galaxy Note 8 deals in September 2017
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

If the Samsung Galaxy S8 feels a little too small, and even the S8 Plus won't cut it for you, perhaps this dazzling mammoth of a device can satiate your desire for a handheld monolith. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is now available.
The Note 8 is the successor to the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 , which launched in 2016 and was recalled (for the first time) within only a month due to its battery catching fire . Many of the Note 7's desirable traits have carried over to this release — the phablet form factor with a larger screen (6.3-inch), some beefier internal specs, the inclusion of an S-Pen stylus — but here's hoping Samsung have left the battery issues behind. You can check out our Note 8 review here .
If this sounds like your dream handset, then you've come to the right page. Here, we've collected all the best plans and deals on the Note 8 from all the major carriers. Whether you're after big data or budget options, or the best overall value, we've hunted them all down.

Galaxy Note 8 price: how much does the phone cost?
Um, quite a bit actually. The RRP in Australia is an extravagant $1,499, which sees us cop a fairly hefty 'Australia tech tax' considering the US price is US$930 (which should be around AU$1,175).
So it looks like the previous issues with the Note 7 haven't managed to keep the prices down for this latest Samsung phablet. You'll be paying a premium price, although you will be receiving an incredibly premium product, so if you're big into your cutting-edge tech or use your handset like a portable office, gaming rig, or media centre, then the Note 8 will be worth the dosh.
The best Samsung Galaxy Note 8 plans (September 2017)

For only $110 a month, 30GB of data is huge, as is the included 750 minutes of international calls and texts, unlimited international roaming calls, and the 1GB of roaming data per month. Total cost over 24 months is $2,640

Best Galaxy Note 8 plans on Vodafone (September 2017)
Best overall value — Samsung Galaxy Note 8 | 16GB data | Unlimited calls and texts | $112.45
The best way to get a Note 8 on Vodafone at the moment is with the $50 Red Data plan which nets you 16GB of data and unlimited calls and texts for only $112.45 a month. Vodafone isn't as competitive as the other major providers when it comes to included extras, but you can leave the contract on any given month and just pay out the value of the handset. Total cost over 24 months is $2,698.80

Best budget option — Samsung Galaxy Note 8 | 2GB data | Unlimited calls and texts | $92.45 pm
If you're after the best budget plans, you should check out Virgin Mobile, but if you're dead keen on the Vodafone network then $92.45 is the least you'll be paying. 2GB of data and unlimited calls and texts isn't bad, but you won't be seeing any included extras. Total cost over 24 months is $2,218.8

Best big data option — Samsung Galaxy Note 8 | 42GB data | Unlimited calls and texts | $142.45 pm
There is a bigger data option available on Vodafone's network, but it isn't worth the extra dosh. For only $142.45 a month, you'll grab 42GB of data and unlimited calls and texts. This pales in comparison to the big data deals from Optus, Telstra AND Virgin, but it's here if you want it. Total cost over 24 months is $3,418.80

57 d ago Venture BeatSamsung unveils Galaxy Note8 with 6.3-inch Infinity display and dual rear cameras; preorder August 24
Read on Venture Beat | Share | Tweet

After months of leaks , Samsung today unveiled the Galaxy Note8 in an event in New York City. The company’s latest stylus-equipped flagship smartphone is expected to be available for preorder starting tomorrow, August 24. The phone ships on September 15 with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but you can expect it will be upgradeable to Android Oreo, which was only officially announced two days ago . The phone retails for around $930 to $960, depending on where you get it.
The Galaxy Note8 succeeds the Galaxy Note7 (you may think that’s obvious, but the Note7 succeeded the Note5). Samsung is likely holding its breath with the Galaxy Note8 given the Galaxy Note7 fiasco due to exploding batteries that led to a product recall . The direct result of this is that the Note8 has a smaller 3300mAh battery, which can be charged either via the USB-C port or wirelessly.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note8 features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED edge display (1440 x 2960 resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, 521 pixels per inch) and has minimal top and bottom bezels which the company markets as Infinity. For those wondering, yes, this is the biggest screen ever on a Note device.
The phone is powered by an Exynos 8895 system-on-chip globally and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 in the U.S., 6GB of RAM, and starts at 64GB of internal storage (128GB and 256GB variants also available, all expandable via a microSD slot). The device is also IP68-certified, meaning it is dust and water resistant. The phone weighs 195g and physical dimensions come in at 162.5mm by 74.6mm by 8.5mm.
There are two rear cameras with 12-megapixel sensors and optical image stabilization — one lens is a wide-angle with an f1.7 aperture and dual-pixel autofocus; the telephoto lens is f2.4 and enables a 2x optical zoom. The front camera features an eight-megapixel sensor and an f1.7 autofocus lens. You can also expect the usual fingerprint scanner on the back and an iris scanner on the front.
Samsung has included a few software features to show off the cameras. Live Focus lets you control the depth of field by adjusting the bokeh effect in preview mode and after you take the photo, while Dual Capture mode takes two pictures simultaneously (one close-up shot from the telephoto lens and one wide-angle shot that shows the entire background).
The Note8 wouldn’t be a Note without Samsung’s S Pen. The S Pen this year comes with a finer tip and software improvements (such as hovering with it over text to translate entire sentences in up to 71 languages, as well as convert units and foreign currencies).
Speaking of custom software, the digital assistant Bixby is included — just yesterday Samsung revealed the service is available in 200 markets, albeit only in English and Korean . Also worth noting is support for Samsung DeX, which allows you to connect the phone to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse for a desktop-like experience.
The Galaxy Note8 comes in Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Grey, and Deep Sea Blue. If you preorder a Galaxy Note8, you have two bundled accessory choices: a 128GB microSD card and wireless charger or a Gear 360 camera.

NEW YORK CITY—We're live from New York , where Samsung has taken the wraps off its new flagship device, the Galaxy Note8.
Samsung changed everything about the Galaxy S line earlier this year, and those changes are all making the jump to the bigger Note model. You get an extra-tall display with on-screen navigation buttons and slim bezels. The fingerprint reader has been moved to the back, next to the camera components. There's also an iris scanner, a dedicated hardware button for Samsung's "Bixby" voice assistant, and compatibility with Samsung's "Dex" desktop dock.
Galaxy Note8 in Orchid Gray. (credit: Samsung)
So what is actually different from the Galaxy S8, which launched almost five months ago? Well, first, it's slightly bigger. While the Galaxy S8+ topped out at 6.2-inches, the Note 8 bumps up to 6.3-inches. On the back there's Samsung's first dual-camera design, pairing a wide-angle camera with a telephoto one with 2× optical zoom. Both have optical image stabilization, something Samsung claims is a first. Samsung has a number of trick features using the dual cameras, such as fine control over depth-of-field and simultaneous dual captures to take a whole-scene, wide-angle shot at the same time as taking a close-up, detailed shot.

57 d ago Venture Beat :: Galaxy Note8 specs: What Samsung changed
Read on Venture Beat | Share | Tweet

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note8 today, successor to the failed Galaxy Note7 . After months of leaks , Samsung’s latest stylus-equipped phone is now official.
Preorders begin August 24, and the devices will begin shipping in mid-September. Before you get your credit card ready, you might want to see exactly what you’re buying. The comparison tables below show you what Samsung has changed, comparing the Galaxy Note7 to the Galaxy Note8.
Galaxy Note7 Galaxy Note8 Display 5.7-inch QHD+, 2560×1440, 518 ppi 6.3-inch QDH+, 2960×1440, 521 ppi Network LTE Cat 9 LTE Cat 16 Connectivity Bluetooth 4.2, NFC Bluetooth 5.0, NFC Processors Octa-core 2.3GHz, 1.6GHz Octa-core 2.3GHz, 1.7GHz Rear camera 12MP, ƒ/1.7, 1.4µ pixels 12MP, ƒ/1.7, 1.4µ pixels Telephoto N/A 12MP, ƒ/2.4, 1.0µ pixels Front camera 5MP, f/1.7 8MP, f/1.7 Battery 3,500mAh 3,300mAh Charging Wired, wireless Wired, wireless Ports USB Type-C, headphone jack USB Type-C, headphone jack Memory 4GB, LPDDR4 6GB, LPDDR4 Storage 64GB 64GB, 128GB, 256GB microSD slot Yes Yes Resistance IP68 IP68 Height 153.5 mm 162.5 mm Width 73.9 mm 74.8 mm Depth 7.9 mm 8.6 mm Weight 169g 195g SIM card Nano-SIM Nano-SIM Assistant N/A Bixby Colors Black, Blue, Gold, Silver Black, Blue, Gold, Gray

The biggest difference between the Note7 and Note8 is of course Samsung’s commitment to battery safety. This one won’t explode , Samsung promises. That seems like a reasonable tradeoff for a smaller battery.
Battery aside, when you go with the Note8, you’ll get a thicker and heavier phone with a significantly larger screen. There are also more storage options to choose from, and of course you’re getting dual cameras for the first time in a Samsung phone.

62 d ago TechRadarLeaked Galaxy Note 8 images show the phone in the flesh
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

The best images we’ve seen so far of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 have been renders, but today we’ve seen high-quality photos of the phone, or at least of a dummy unit.
That’s to say a non-functioning version, but one likely built by Samsung to show off the design of the Note 8. And it’s a design that’s very familiar, with a black glass back, a screen filled front and a shape that looks longer and narrower than the Samsung Galaxy S8 .
Indeed, there’s not really anything new here, but the design matches previous Note 8 leaks, complete with a dual-lens camera and fingerprint scanner on the back, and a dedicated Bixby button on the side beneath the volume keys.
Not long to go
The images, which were posted to Weibo (a Chinese social site) are hard to verify, but they look convincing, and with us just days away from the August 23 announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 it’s not surprising that there would be dummy units in the wild.
And while this leak doesn’t shed any light on the specs there’s little we don’t probably know there either, with a 6.3-inch QHD+ screen, a 12MP dual-lens camera with 2x optical zoom, a 3,300mAh battery, 6GB of RAM and either a Snapdragon 835 (in the US) or Exynos 8895 (everywhere else) chipset rumored.
With the inevitable S Pen stylus also in the mix, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 looks set to be a formidable phablet and the wait for it is almost over.
The iPhone 8 is expected to be top-tier phablet too.

62 d ago The Verge :: Photos of a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 dummy phone have leaked
Read on The Verge | Share | Tweet

New photos of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 have surfaced on Chinese social networking site Weibo, as spotted by BGR . The photos show quite a thin device — rumored to be 8.5mm — with a huge infinity display, and smaller bezels than its predecessor, the recalled Galaxy Note 7. The back of the phone shows the dual camera, and the controversially placed fingerprint sensor.
There’s no visible S Pen, though leaked renders and photos have shown the stylus will come with the phone in a matching color. Previous specs we expect to see from the device include a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, dual rear-facing cameras with 12-megapixel sensors, and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, plus expandable storage. BGR reports...

66 d ago TechRadarNo, Samsung probably won't release the Galaxy Note 8 on August 24
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

It's almost certain the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be announced on August 23, but a new rumor suggests the phone will be released the very next day in the US.
A Best Buy employee has claimed Samsung is ready to start selling the Galaxy Note 8 the day after the announcement, suggesting you'll be able to buy it on August 24.
A Reddit post cited the employee and says the information has been confirmed by both Verizon and Samsung channels, which it's likely the Best Buy employee will have access to.
However, don't read too much into this - we're skeptical about the claim as this is unlike anything Samsung has done in the past.
High pre-orders
Samsung usually releases all products in its home market of South Korea at the same time as other big markets for the company such as the US and UK, if not before - and we've heard rumor that the Note 8 is set to appear in Samsung's homeland a couple of weeks after launch.
If the Note 8 were to be released the day after launch, that would be a lot of stock to be released a day after the announcement, and it wouldn't give the company much time to prepare. We're seeing a lot of leaks for the phone right now, but whether it has hit maximum production already is unclear.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 was announced on August 2, 2016, but wasn't released to the market until 19 August that same month.
That's a gap of over two weeks and proves it would be a major undertaking for the company to release the phone only a day after the announcement.
The Galaxy Note 7 hit pre-orders of over 200,000 in South Korea while the Galaxy S8 hit over a million pre-orders in the same market over just two weeks.
Samsung struggled to keep pace with those orders for the Galaxy S8 and had to delay the release in some markets because of it, so the company will have the play the release schedule for the Note 8 safely or end up disappointing a lot of fans.
A big misunderstanding?
Our guess is that the Best Buy employee may have misunderstood the information they've seen. Samsung set pre-orders in the US live the day after the announcement for both the Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S8, so it may be the employee saw similar information for the upcoming Note 8.
People often get mixed up with the terminology of release, launch and unveiling so it's entirely likely this is just an honest misunderstanding.
On the other hand - it's not certain it won't launch on that day, as Samsung has never faced a situation like this before, releasing a pivotal product following a flame-based scandal.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus were a relative success for the company, but neither of those products came with the Note 8 name.
The Galaxy Note 7 catching alight was a major PR headache for Samsung and this is the first Note product to be released around the world since that problem.
Maybe releasing right after the announcement and steering well clear of the rumored September iPhone 8 release is a smart idea - it'll just be new territory for the company.

65 d ago TechRadar :: Galaxy Note 8 teaser hints at new features for Samsung's phablet
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

Okay, before you get too excited, the new teaser of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 isn't going to blow your mind.
Any tech fan will have become tired of the 'teaser trailer', as it's invariably just a stop-gap to fill the dead space between fervour at the launch of the new device and the actual event where we get to see it.
In the past, Samsung has at least hinted at the new phone with obfuscated shots in the distance, or people doing things with the new features (such as using the phone underwater).
However, this time it's just a series of words – but they do give a few hints as to what we can expect:
The first being the idea of innovation: what we know so far is the only innovative thing Samsung is doing with the Note 8 is popping a dual camera on the rear, which it's never done in a flagship phone.
However, that's far from innovative, so we'll at least see some new technology in the mix that should allow users to do new things with the Galaxy Note 8 that Samsung's not offered before.
The other interesting point is claiming that this phone isn't closed, but open. That could very well be a thinly-veiled attack at Apple (as could be the idea of 'not updating but innovating') but - even for a brand like Samsung that has a history of trying to mark itself as better than Apple - this seems a bit old-fashioned.
The hope here, then, is that we're going to see a phone that has more openness for the developer communities to do cool things with the technology - using the iris scanner for new ideas, or being able to expand what the S Pen is capable of, but in a structured way that doesn't impact on the quality.
Or... this is just some words from a big marketing book that Samsung has picked up at random as it looks to keep interest going in a phone that's just going to be a larger Galaxy S8 Plus . We'll find out for sure on 23 August .
It wouldn't be so bad to have a larger version of this phone though...

Read on The Verge | Share | Tweet

As noted leaker Evan Blass tweeted this morning, when it rains, it pours. Not even 24 hours after Blass had published an official image of the front of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 8 , he returned with a few more pictures , showing the rear, side, and stylus of the as-yet-unreleased handset.
The phone is due to be unveiled later this month on August 23rd, but these leaks give us a good idea of what Samsung will be offering. The phone has the same edge-to-edge Infinity Display that made the Galaxy S8 such a head-turner, with the bezels looking, if anything, even slimmer. We can also see that Samsung is retaining the S8’s dedicated Bixby Button, positioned on the right edge of the device, and, on the rear, we have a dual-camera system...

79 d ago Ars Technica :: Galaxy Note 8 gets pictured, doesn’t fix S8 fingerprint sensor location
Read on Ars Technica | Share | Tweet

Enlarge / The Galaxy Note 8 press image. Check out those cameras! (credit: Evan Blass )
Behold—above is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 revealed in all its glory. The pictures come courtesy of VentureBeat's Evan Blass , who has proven reliable when it comes to these early press render leaks.
After the massive redesign of the Galaxy S8 , it's no surprise that the Note 8 follows in its footsteps. You're still getting a slim bezel design with rounded display corners and on-screen buttons. The top sensor arrangement seems to be identical to the Galaxy S8, with an iris scanner setup consisting of one extra camera and one infrared LED, along with the usual front-facing photo camera and sensor setup. The sides are still rounded on the front and back, and there still appears to be an extra physical "Bixby button" which exists for the sole purpose of launching Samsung's new voice assistant.
The major difference over the S8 is that the whole device is squarer. The taller corners will no doubt be used to store the S-Pen, the Galaxy Note's signature feature. On the back, we also see Samsung's first dual-camera arrangement, which is reportedly for a 3x optical zoom setup.

83 d ago TechRadar :: This is the date Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre-orders go live
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

Samsung may have accidentally revealed the date you can pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 , and it will likely be a few days after the official announcement.
We now know the Galaxy Note 8 will be revealed at a launch event in New York on August 23, but new leaked details suggest you'll be able to pre-order the phone directly from Samsung on August 25.
Details found on Samsung's Australian website suggests the region will be able to pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 only two days after the official launch, but it may just be for that region.
A few days to wait
The exact pre-order date for the US and UK is currently unclear, but we'd wouldn't expect it to be much later than August 25 considering how Samsung has previously allowed you to order its phablets a few days after launch.
The leaked web page from Samsung also suggests you'll be able to claim a free Galaxy Note 8 screen replacement within 12 months of your purchase.
It will be through a new scheme called the Screen Assure program and it's unclear if it will be available to all customers or is just restricted to those buying the phone directly from Samsung in Australia.
The documents also say you'll have to activate your offer before October 31 2017, so you'll only be covered from a cracked screen up until the end of October 2018.

91 d ago Business InsiderIt looks like Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8 will be a slightly larger Galaxy S8 with just a few differences
Read on Business Insider | Share | Tweet

Tech site BGR has obtained mock-up renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from a third-party case manufacturer, which can give us an idea of what to expect before Samsung's announcement of the Note 8.
Supposedly, the mock-ups are based on "genuine" leaked details and schematics. With that said, the mock-ups do seem to match what the rumor mill is saying about the Galaxy Note 8. You can check out the renders on BGR's website .
YouTube/Concept Creator
Based on the mock-ups, it looks like the Galaxy Note 8 will have a similar design to the Galaxy S8. It'll have the S8's new "infinity" display with ultra-narrow borders, rounded display corners, a tall aspect-ratio display, and a dual-lens camera system.
As is typical of Samsung's Note devices, the Note 8 will likely have a larger display than most other Galaxy S devices. Supposedly, the Note 8 will have a 6.3-inch display, which is only slightly bigger than the S8+'s 6.2-inch display. The Note 8 will also likely come with its signature stylus for note-taking and other Note-specific features.
It also looks like the Galaxy Note 8 will also come with the same controversial feature from the Galaxy S8: a dedicated button for Samsung's Bixby AI voice assistant. Samsung's Bixby has yet to prove itself, especially considering it has its own dedicated button that Samsung won't allow users to customize.
YouTube/Concept Creator
Another feature that may prove unpopular in the Note 8 is the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which invoked mixed reactions when Samsung announced the same feature in the Galaxy S8. Indeed, users found the S8's rear-mounted fingerprint scanner was placed too close to the rear camera, and it's awkward and hard to tell what's the camera and what's the scanner with just your finger.
On the Note 8, however, it looks like Samsung may have addressed the issue, at least to a certain extent. It seems like the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner could be slightly further away from the rear camera, which could make it less awkward and easier to discern the scanner from the camera.
Either way, we'll have to see what Samsung announces during its Note 8 announcement. The ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 was announced last October, so we'd expect that Samsung announces the Note 8 around the same time. Some rumors claim that Samsung plans to unveil its latest Note device as early as late July, but that's also an unconfirmed rumor.

94 d ago TechRadar :: Samsung Galaxy Note 8 confirmed for launch next month
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be announced at the end of August, as the head of Samsung’s mobile division, Dongjin Koh, has reportedly said as much.
The comments were made to ePrice , and although no exact announcement date was given we had previously heard rumors that the Note 8 would land on August 23 – a date which lines up with this news.
That’s not when you’ll actually be able to buy the phone though, as Koh added that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would go on sale in the first wave of countries in early September, while the rest of the world would get it in October.
Part of the wave
He didn’t say which countries would be part of the first wave, but along with Samsung’s home market of South Korea we wouldn’t be surprised if the US and UK were included, as they’re likely to be major markets for the phone.
So you might be able to have a Note 8 in your hands in less than two months, and it should be worth the wait, with rumors pointing to a massive 6.4-inch screen, a dual-lens camera and lots of power.
We’ve also recently had our best look yet at the almost bezel-free phone and in the coming weeks we’re sure to see and hear a lot more, so keep your eyes on TechRadar for updates.
The iPhone 8 will be its main phablet foe.

97 d ago TechRadar :: Galaxy Note 8 may have just appeared on Samsung's Twitter
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launch is rumored to be a little more than a month away, but Samsung may have accidentally revealed the design of the phone in an official tweet.
Samsung’s Exynos Twitter account (which has almost 80k followers) shared a promo image for the new Samsung Exynos 8895 chipset, which is expected to be used in the Galaxy Note 8. That's not the most interesting part though as that chipset is resting on top of a phone we haven’t seen before.
Below you can see the image where you can see the phone we think may be the Galaxy Note 8.
Look into my bezel
At first look, you may think it’s a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus , but the bezel at the top is thinner which means it's not either of those devices.
You’ll also notice how there are no hardware buttons on the right hand side of the phone, which suggests this may be just a mock-up or a shell for a new device instead of a full teaser for the Galaxy Note 8.
Rumors have suggested we should expect Samsung to include both a Bixby button and a volume rocker on that side of the device when it officially launches
This may turn out to be a generic image of a Samsung device, but considering how the company is connecting the new processor with the launch of the new phone it may be that this is the best look at the Note 8 we’ve had so far.
August 23 is the rumored launch date for the new phablet, so it won’t be long until we hear more from Samsung about the release for the new phone and exactly what spec we can expect on the latest Note phablet.

99 d ago TechRadarSamsung Galaxy Note 8 launch tipped for August 23
Read on TechRadar | Share | Tweet

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may be just over a month away with a new rumor suggesting the company is ready to launch the phone on August 23.
A new report from Korean site The Bell cites unnamed industry sources who claim that Samsung is set to organize a Galaxy Unpacked event in New York towards the end of the month.
That said, there are various reports at the moment claiming different announcement dates for the Note 8.
When will it launch?
Twitter leaker @evleaks claims to have heard the phone will be announced at the end of September. Another report from The Bell earlier this week suggested the Note 8 may come out in mid-September, which comes from a part supplier for Samsung.
Right now it's currently unclear when the Galaxy Note 8 will exactly launch, but most sources agree that Samsung will be pushing ahead with the phone sooner rather than later so August or September both look likely.
No matter what, it looks like Samsung will be launching its new phablet quite near to the iPhone 8 so it may be tough to make the decision between Samsung  and Apple's new phones.
